At Hilltop Van, we specialize in designing and building custom camper vans—created with real-world travel experience in mind.

Founder Jeff Hill has spent much of his life on the road. Raised in a New England family that prioritized camping, road trips, and the freedom of the open road, Jeff’s earliest memories were shaped by summers spent exploring in his dad’s beloved VW buses. That spirit of adventure stuck with him into adulthood.

Over the years, Jeff has logged hundreds of thousands of miles across North America—first solo, and later with his wife and their dog—living in and continuously improving the vans he built for his own travels. From quick weekend getaways to years of full-time vanlife, he’s experienced firsthand what works (and what doesn’t) when it comes to comfort, practicality, and durability on the road.

Those lessons now fuel Hilltop Van. Every build reflects the knowledge that only comes from living the lifestyle: smart layouts, rugged materials, and thoughtful details that make life on the road easier and more enjoyable—whether you’re heading out for a long-term journey or just a weekend away.
